She Built Co.
Independent operations consulting ·

You built it. Now make it run without you.

I build the structure underneath founder-led businesses. The pricing, the workflows, the systems that hold when you step out of the room. Twelve weeks. One business at a time.

I built a practice from nothing to $1.2M a year, then made five of them run as one company. Now I do that work for other people's businesses.

Hustle is scaffolding. It was always meant to come down.

It holds a young business up while the structure gets built. The trouble starts when nobody builds the structure, and four years later the scaffolding is still the only thing holding it.

She Built Co. is not coaching and it isn't marketing. It's twelve weeks of operational work on a business that already has customers, done with you and your team, on your actual numbers.

Three signs you're the structure
  1. There's work only you can do, and it comes round every week.
  2. Revenue dips in any month you take real time off.
  3. Onboarding someone means sitting beside them for a month.

Open last month's calendar and mark every hour only you could have covered. Divide by your total hours worked. That percentage is how much of your business is still standing on scaffolding, and it's the first number I'd ask you for.

The build plan

Four phases. The order isn't negotiable.

Who does the work

I've done this from the inside, twice.

My husband Edwin and I co-founded TruWellnessMD in 2021 and built it side by side. He led the clinical model and carried as much of the operational load as I did; I ran business operations as COO. Together we took it to $1.2M a year and from one provider to a full multidisciplinary practice.

After it was acquired, I led the operational integration of five practices into one company: one platform, one set of workflows, over 10,000 patient records migrated and 40-plus staff trained without a day of disruption.

The Operating Manual

The five field guides are each one problem. This is the twelve-week system they come from: the costing sheets, the follow-up sequences, the handover templates, the load tests and the trackers, with a walkthrough of every phase. It is what I use with clients, minus me.

  • All five guides, plus the workbook versions with the sheets filled in
  • Costing and pricing calculators, ready to use on your own numbers
  • The four-touch follow-up sequence, written and ready to send
  • Handover documents, escalation rules and the thirty-day review
  • A walkthrough of each phase, so you know what order to do it in

And it is credited back. If you later work with me one to one, whatever you paid for the Manual comes off the engagement. It costs you nothing except time you were going to spend on this anyway.

Field notes

Three things I end up saying on nearly every call.

Talk through yours
The build plan

Twelve weeks. Four phases. Nothing you can skip.

Each phase depends on the one before it. You can't standardise a workflow you haven't measured, and you can't put a process into software before it exists on paper. This is the same order I used to build one practice and to integrate five.

12 weeks

2 sessions a week

Phases

Open a phase to see what you'll actually have at the end of it.

Logistics

A week in the cohort.

Session one · 90 min

Working session on your numbers. Screen shared, documents open, decisions made in the room rather than assigned as homework.

Session two · 60 min

Review. You bring what your team built that week, I pull it apart, you leave with the fix and the next thing to build.

Who's in the room

You, and whoever actually does the work. Operations gets fixed with the person running the process, not around them.

Between sessions

Four to six hours across you and your team. This is the part that produces the result. Sessions alone don't change anything.

Async

One shared channel with me directly. Questions answered within a working day. No account manager, no handoff.

If it isn't working

I'll say so, early, and tell you what I'd do instead. I would rather end an engagement at week four than bill you through twelve.

Investment
Scoped on a call

I don't publish a single number, because a solo founder with one service line and a five-location group don't need the same twelve weeks. What I do promise: you get the full scope and the full price in writing before anything starts, and it doesn't move afterwards.

Fixed fee · never hourly
Fair questions

"I've hired a consultant before."

Most people I speak to have, and the deliverable was usually a deck. I've been the operator who had to implement someone else's recommendations while running the business. You'll finish this with working processes your team is already using, not a document.

Also fair

"I can't take four hours a week out."

Then this isn't the quarter. Those hours come out of delivery, which means putting something down for twelve weeks. If there's genuinely nothing you can set aside, that's useful information, and it's usually the clearest evidence that the structural problem is real.

Founder

I've built a company from nothing, and I've made five of them run as one.

Gabriela Parrilla, founder of She Built Co. Five years of operations work, three chapters, and the numbers I'm willing to put my name against.

In January 2021 my husband Edwin left conventional medicine after years at Mount Sinai in New York, wanting to practise differently: functional, preventative, treating causes rather than symptoms. We opened TruWellnessMD together that month. No hospital system behind us, no investors, no patient base. Two people and a way of practising we both believed in.

We divided the work and then both did more than our half. Edwin built the clinical model and set the standard of care, and he was in the operational detail with me the entire way. The hiring calls, the vendor conversations, the evenings spent working out whether a number actually held up. I took business operations as COO: the model, the pricing, the patient experience, the referral pipeline, the marketing and PR, the vendor contracts, and the standardised workflows that let us add providers without the care changing.

I didn't come up through healthcare administration. What I brought was a business mind and an instinct for spotting a process that isn't working. What Edwin brought was clinical judgment and a willingness to do whatever the business needed that week, including the parts that had nothing to do with medicine. Neither half would have worked without the other, and I don't think either of us would claim otherwise.

When the practice was acquired, I did the thing most founders don't do after an exit. I stayed, and took on something harder: five practices that were one company on paper and five companies in reality.

I went independent in August 2025. I hold an Executive MBA from Collegium Humanum, which gave me language for things I'd already learned the expensive way. She Built Co. is mine alone. I started it because I keep meeting founders stuck exactly where I was: profitable, respected, and completely load-bearing.

Guides

Short, specific, and free.

Each one takes on a single problem I see in nearly every business I look at, and gives you the fix rather than the theory. No gated webinar, no call required.

All five, and the tools behind them

Read them all and you have the method. The Manual gives you the tools.

Every guide here names a problem and gives you the fix. The Operating Manual is the same twelve weeks with the calculators, templates and sequences already built, so you are filling things in rather than making them.

Now the numbers.

These three questions do most of the work. Ranges are fine. I'm looking at shape, not precision.

Got it. Now here's exactly what happens.

I read every one of these myself. There's no assistant, no filter and no automated sequence, which is also why it takes a few days rather than a few minutes.

Sent todayReply within five working days

You'll hear from me either way within five working days. If it's a fit, I'll send a time for a scoping call and the questions I'll ask on it. If it isn't, I'll tell you why, and where I'd send you instead.

One thing to do in the meantime: open your last twelve months of invoices and add up what your single largest client paid you. Whatever we decide, that number is worth knowing.
